HOW WAS I CALLED IN TO THE DANCE MINISTRY?
How was I called to the Dance Ministry? I guess all of this started a couple of years ago when I was just hanging out with Pastor Yolanda, she and a group of ladies were going to a meeting with the head of the Dance Ministry at Marion Christian Center. And I just went along for the ride. I believe I was going through a difficult time. I went to this meeting and everyone was participating and I was asked to participate as well. I did. I was told I did well. I listened to the lecture which was on how to put moves to a song. I remember her saying just listen to the song with your eyes close and then write down what you see, what you hear or what comes to you. That was pretty neat. The next thing I knew she was taking our measurements to make us a dance garments.
A couple more years went by and I, Pastor Yolanda and Sister Henderson when to a choreography dance workshop at the Christian Assembly Church being held by Darsye Osborne and Yvonne Peters. Once again that was good. At this workshop I brought my first dance garment a hanky from Diane Ransom. That was the beginning of the Dance Ministry at Glory To God for me. Our first dance was I believe Seasons by Donald Lawrence the second dance was I won't turn back by Yolanda Adams. This was actually my first solo in the group this was a group song but I had a solo part. This song was special to me because it was saying I won't turn back, I am not going to turn back.
