Two successful companies have merged together to create a new network strategy; Wal-Mart and FTD. Before the networking breakthrough customers were to shop at Wal-Mart for the purchase of flowers which were pre-arranged by an associate, customers were forced to wait in line to complete the transaction; additionally, the choice of flowers was limited. As of February 2005 buying flowers is just one click away; because Wal-Mart’s customers can now purchase floral arrangements online to be sent to their love ones for all occasions.
