The External EnvironmentIntroductionTourism is one of the many growing industries in the world where a lot of money is made from it, providing many jobs. There are external factors that can effect the hospitality and tourism industry and which, related businesses have no way of planning for. It is possible for many businesses to be aware of and be able to cope with certain external factors such as businesses specialising in summer holidays knows that in the winter because of the weather, their gross product will fall. It is impossible however for businesses to plan for such things as environmental issues e.g. floods, fires, earthquakes etc and political issues such as terrorist attacks, which we will focus on in this assignment by looking at recent articles in the media on this subject and establishing the effects terrorism has on the industry.
