United Parcel Service Inc. is a global delivery network that serves as the traffic manager for Corporate America’s distribution networks. We help our customers in managing their supply chain, distribution centers and warehouses; handling Internet order fulfillment; and other services such as packaging, repairing and installing. By offering fast delivery with high quality and great customer services we can help our customers to improve with their cash flow, customer service, and productivity.  We will keep on growing through risk taking and reinventing ourselves with the latest makeover to optimize profitable returns for our shareholders.
b.    Key Strategic Issue

The key strategic issue for UPS in this case is its traditionally insular and conservative organizational culture which is afraid of risk taking or changes. We think that this is the key issue because organizational culture is very important in how organization choose to do their business. If UPS remain in its insular and conservative culture then it will not be able to defense itself against the other competitors like DHL and will not be growing much at all. Just like the CEO of UPS said that they fear of becoming a commodity and having other providers deal with their customers. We think that if the company culture is insular and not risk taking then they will not be able to meet up with the changes ahead and won’t be able to prevent their competitor from going over them and at last they will not be able to grow further when they reach the maturity stage.
