Upgrade System

Abstract

The Baderman Island is an all inclusive resort consisting of 3 additional hotels, a convention center to accommodate the business traveler or family function. The analysis of the Baderman Island Resort infrastructure was determined that upgrading the existing system will tie together all the business entities. A key factor understands that all systems within this organization need to incorporate the same word processing software.
    



Overview
The Baderman Island is an all inclusive resort consisting of 3 additional hotels, a convention center to accommodate the business traveler or family function. For the shopping experience two great gift shops and the ultimate relaxing experience with a full service spa. The resorts have several restaurants from casual to fine dining for the superb eating experience. The present and anticipated growth of Baderman Island and the complexity of the organization current system require updating. This new system will enhance the existing operating system and word processing. The Executive Board contracted the information systems out to Smith Systems Consulting firm.
Smith Systems Consulting reviewed the resorts current information system it was a total of 77 updated computers were analyzed to be upgraded. In reviewing, existing data it was determined that a problem occurred in the past where all devices were not simultaneously upgraded. The intended migration is expected to be effortless with no interruption in productivity. There are three different operating systems which are Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
