   How can you use the concepts presented in the article to manage the change resistors in your own life as you pursue your education?
      “There are many ways in which communities and organizations will consciously or unconsciously try to make you lose focus. They sometimes do this by broadening your agenda, sometimes by overwhelming it, but always with a seemingly logical reason for disrupting your game plan” (Linsky 2002). As I began my master’s program at UOP, I was highly motivated to complete the program in the expected 14 months. However, as the classes become increasingly harder, I have found myself losing the drive to continue. Heiftez and Linsky present various concepts to encourage future leaders to succeed, staying focused and driven until the end no matter the obstacles that arise. This is a guideline that I find particularly helpful and applicable to my life as I start my new job with the Department of Corrections in which you do not need a Masters Degree to promote within the state.
   Do you think this is a hero’s journey?
      No, I do not think this is a hero’s journey due to the fact there was excellent and factual points stated in the article. There were comments and points made that I have done research or term papers on which I see fit to work in any organization or is in process in Corporate American today. I also believe if this was a hero’s journey, there would have been more fictional theories and believe.< ...
