Ssps Research Paper

I chose to do my research analysis on Catholicism, GDP per capita, and divorce rate. Money religion and divorce rate influence. Religion and financial stability affect many aspects of people’s lives it controls where they live, who they meet, and many other perks in life.  Similarly, it also affects negative things in life. Divorce is no stranger to these factors. Catholicism and GDP should have a significant influence on the divorce rate in many different countries alike. My hypothesis is that Catholicism will have an inverse relationship on divorce rate and that the GDP will directly influence divorce rate.  
    As we look back through time, we can see that religious beliefs have been the talk of most history books. From the Crusades to the War in Iraq, from famines all the way up to the views on abortion. Peoples beliefs have drove them to do extreme thing for their moral salvation. Catholicism has been one of those major religions that have controlled the way people acted. It is deeply rooted in the belief to do what is morally right and proper. It also has strict rules on matrimony and the aftermath. According to the bible, once you accept the holy sacrament of matrimony, there is no backing out. Divorce is look down at heavily and considered a moral sin. Catholic couples who have difficulties in their marriage usually opt for counseling or other forms of treatment to try and fix any problems they are having. Divorce is usually the last resort in many catholic couples’s relationships.
