We have been given the assignment, by Hotelbemiddeling.nl, to make an analysis of its current situation and to do research on how to improve its current situation. During the last six weeks we have been analyzing, gathering information, doing desk and field research in order to reach this goal. From now on in this report “Hotelbemiddeling.nl” will be referred to as “HB.nl”.

The contents of this report will give clear information on the current situation of HB.nl and a thorough analysis of the internal and external environment in order to come up with recommendations for HB.nl to become more efficient and effective as a company. Furthermore, there will be practical recommendations and examples of practical recommendations, which can be implemented in the company.

After this introduction you can read the executive summary which consists of the objectives of the company, the most important recommendations and strategies for HB.nl and some supplementary products which will assist in the implementation of these recommendations. In chapter three we will give background information about the company profile and an explanation of the concept and how it works. In the fourth chapter we will handle the internal analysis in order to come up with the strengths and weaknesses of the company. Then in the next chapter the external analysis will be handled in which we will give a thorough analysis of the environment of the company, the 50+ age category of the Netherlands, the distribution channels and the competitors of HB.nl, in order to come up with the opportunities and threats of the company.
