The need to Recruit.
The need for recruiting applicants can be for various reasons; many of them are highlighted below,
Staff leaving.
Staff may leave due to wanting a new job in a different organisation, or they may have been fired.
Promotion.
Promoting someone from inside the business will result in a employee gab within the business which needs to be filled in order for the work to be completed.
Extra work arising.
If there is more work than existing employees can cope with 1 or more people will need to be recruited in order to keep up with the elevated quantity of work.
High staff turnover.
If employees are constantly leaving and being hired the business is more likely to look for someone new that they know they can rely on. Someone who needs the job and is also capable of doing the role they are required to do.
Sickness
If an employee is sick for a long time the business will need to employ someone usually on a temporary contract to fill the vacancy until the employee is well enough to return to work.
Maternity cover.
Maternity leave is usually for a substantial period of time for both men and women. Their work will still need to be done in their absence and therefore a temporary applicant will be employed.
Growth of the business/Different work.
The business may decide to expand either nationally or globally which means more employees with the right skills and qualifications will need to be recruited to work in the new business location. Employees will have to undergo a course of training and be provided with resources in order to help them for fill their role within the business.
