Questionaire Analysis

The questionnaire has a lot of scale based questions which help the respondents overcome limitations in their answers. The simpleness of the questions also makes it easier for the respondents to answer.

There are a few unstructured questions, such as questions 48 and 49. These can add to the complexity when analysing the responses and since it is a self administered response, the questions can be of limited value because respondents tend to be briefer in writing than in speaking.

Questions 1 to 10 are more classification questions, which require the respondents to personalise the information required and give their own responses, whereas questions 11 to 47 are similar to multiple choice- these, however, are in scale, which is beneficial when analysing the data.

The questionnaire deals with the three types of information: basic information, classification information, and identification information. The format the questionnaire follows is the funnel approach, where the sequence starts with the general questions and then is followed by more specific questions. The questionnaire aims to find out information with specific questions regarding the Sutherland council and the business requirements and aims to find out information efficiently with the use of appropriate questions.

The questionnaire seems to be crowded so that more questions could be filled into the survey. This could create clutter, and ignorant responses from respondents but as mentioned before, having a lot of scale based questions make the layout simple.
