Kudler Fine Foods is a specialty gourmet food shop that is faced with many issues. One issue is the legal aspect. Due to KFF being a specialty gourmet food shop they must look at the different legal troubles the company may face.
With employees specializing in certain products and KFF not being able to pay them what other companies can, could cause employees to go to other businesses and use KFF’s marketing techniques. For example, due to the competition in the winery business, KFF would need to make sure the competition does not infringe on the way they market their wines. They would also need to make sure none of their products were infringed on as well. If the competitor copies any specialty product and sales it at a lower price than KFF, they will have difficulty selling their product and since their products is fresh every day they would lose a great deal of money.
Another legal issue that could affect the company is that Kathy leaves the decision up to her managers what incidents should and shouldn’t be reported. If any employee has animosity towards the company due to actions they feel to be discriminating, but the manager doesn’t report it, this could cost the company thousands of dollars in lawsuits.
KFF uses the contracts that are provided by the party they are doing business with. By using a tax attorney instead of a corporate attorney, the other party may have loop holes in the contract that are missed, which could put KFF out of business.
