Problem Solution: Riordan Manufacturing
     Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics producer employing 550 people with projected annual earnings of $46 million. However, Riordan is facing many challenges such as declining profits, increased employee turnover, and low morale of employees.  In response to these changes Riordan has made changes to their marketing, manufacturing and sales strategies. After a survey was conducted, results showed employees were unhappy and lacked motivation due to poor training and development, pay scales, and company benefits. Riordan has benchmarked several issues and outcomes to provide their employees with alternative training skills and a competitive pay system. Enhancing benefits, compensation, and the restructuring of motivational strategies will strengthen productivity, performance, retention, and overall motivation (University of Phoenix, 2009). This purpose of this paper is to provide a Nine-Step Problem Solving model involving Riordan Manufacturing.

Issue and Opportunity Identification
Riordan felt the need to implement a new business strategy which did not make the employees feel inclusive.
