DISC Platinum Rule™ Assessment
The DISC Platinum Rule™ Assessment provides a test taker with the opportunity to try and see inside your behavioral style and more importantly to potentially learn other types of behavioral styles so that you may become better at dealing with others. The Platinum Rule™ provides a basis for learning how all people are different and wish to be treated different. An in depth understanding of your own behavioral style is critical before you can attempt to evaluate and attempt to adapt to others. The evaluation of your own behavior style and feedback from others on your style provides the basis for this evaluation and learning how to treat others requires learning each of the styles and incorporating the knowledge into your daily life of handling others.
The Platinum Rule™ is a play on the age old “Golden Rule” the definition being to "Do Unto Others As They Would Have You Do Unto Them". (Blanchard, 2008) Understanding the big difference in the two rules, “them” vs. “you”, is critical to using the knowledge to benefit your interaction with others. My behavioral style was determined to be “Ci” which indicates a dominate "Cautious" style with a minor portion of the "Interactive" style. The style indicates many things about my behavior which are all dead on accurate. These traits include , cautious actions and decisions, likes organization and structure, dislikes involvement, asks many questions about specific details, prefers objective, task-oriented, intellectual work environment, wants to be right, so can be overly reliant o ...
