    This is a plan for attracting and retaining top employees for the restaurant field.  This plan will outline everything that is necessary from recruitment sources, pre-recruitment, interviewing preparation, to legal considerations for top employees.  If the plan is followed this company will be able to attract and retain the top employees in this field of work.
    The first step should include this restaurant company’s plan for recruitment sources.  The thing we need to realize is that every employer is dealing with the same economy, workforce illiteracy, and low number of incoming younger workers.  So, for our plan to be successful we need to be proactive employers and apply as many of the twenty-six “ABC Guidelines for Successful Recruitment” as possible every time we have a job opening (Arthur, p. 4).  Here are the ones that will be successful in our plan: Attractive- we must promote our restaurant company as the kind of place employees will want to call their place of work; so, we will want to highlight our benefits package and show what makes us different from the rest of the restaurant companies out there.  Empathetic- we need to try to understand and take into consideration an applicant’s needs and interests in relation to the company goals, so that there is a balance.  Greedy- we need to know that our company is entitled to be staffed by the best possible workforce and seek out those applicants that meet our needs.  Informative- we need to anticipate what applicants may want to know about the position and the company and be prepared to tell them.  Notorio ...
