Philosophy Of Religion

Philosophy of religion is the rational study of the meaning and justification of fundamental religious claims, particularly about the nature and existence of God.  Defining religion and its essential features has long been discussed throughout human history.  Religion is viewed as an essential element in the life of human belief and praise.  A world religion has been viewed as a potential goal for many politicians and government agencies. China one of the most populated areas on earth has had a “ruling communist party to include world religion in its constitution”.  This is contradictory to the western world where we practice individualism, not collectivism. In a broad sense a world religion would have to include anyone’s religious beliefs, how one lives their life, and how one chooses to behave.  The essential features of a global religion are: values, beliefs and traditions.  Is a world religion plausible? There are many opposing and supporting arguments for this claim and they will be discussed throughout this writing.
 The concept of God is a perception of an object of belief, whether it is one God of theism or to the several phantoms of animism.  God has three universal defining characteristics common to all sorts of religious belief. “First, whatever is god he is aware of the believer.  Secondly, whatever is god is conceived of agency.
