1. Differences in personality, values, attitudes, moods, and emotions help explain why some people are best suited for management and others for entrepreneurship because they attribute to the way people react to certain activites, events, or people. Peoples emotions, attitudes, etc that would be best suited for management are people that are understanding, can relate to their employees, hardworkers, organized, etc. would describe people who would make good managers. Characteristics that would best define an entrepeneur would be more cut-throat, risktakers, people that consider their employees emotions but more importantly always put business first.2. After comparing all the characteristics of the Big 5 personality traits, I think that the one that would best predict a successful, good manager would be the “openness to experience.” I particularly feel that this one is the best because it describes people with these characteristics as being original with broad interests, be open to a wide range of stimuli, be daring and willing to take risks. I feel these are important because it describes someone whom is open minded. Someone who considers all options and is willing to take a risk on the ones they feel are in the best interest of the company, even if it may seem far-fetched. 3. The culture of the last organization that I worked for was that of a restaurant. It was a very extremely fast paced bar that often seemed to be at competition with another very similar type restaurant / bar. The atmoshpere was very tense and incredibily cut throat, if you did anything wrong, they never once hesitated to let you know that they could and would replace you at any moment.
