Organizational Impact
    This paper will examine the impact of innovation on strategy, process, and product and or services on three different organizations. The first is TASER International, or Air TASER, and their product change and building transformation. The next organization is Chick-fil-a, and their innovative product and advertising design. Finally is the company JLT Mobile Computers, now part of Roper Mobile Technologies, and their innovative laptop computer design making them one of the most rapidly growing companies in the nation.
Air TASER was founded in September 1993.  One of the first products of this company was the Air Taser Model 34000, sold to law enforcement and private citizens for non-lethal personal protection.  TASER also created the Auto Taser, a vehicle security device used to secure the steering wheel and set off an audible alarm. If the device were tampered with for too long, the entire device would electrify to prevent it from being removed.  TASER was failing in both markets by 1998 and they decided to stop production, and quickly get rid of the Auto Taser division.  At this time, TASER chose to focus on the law enforcement arena, and created Advanced Taser Technology.  The new “Advanced TASER M-series was a handgun shaped device that used patented neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI) technology, which affected both the sensory and motor nervous systems to cause incapacitation.” (Taser, Inc., 2007)  Due to the dramatic injury reduction and fatal situations at law enforcement agencies, the company‘s profits became as innovative as their technology was.
