Organizational Behavior, Terminology and Concepts Paper
Understanding organizational behavior is important not only for the leadership and management teams, but for everyone involved in the organization.  By understanding this knowledge, employees should realize the impact his or her actions will have in the organization.  In order to gain this knowledge, this paper will give a brief description and explain some key information of each concept (Schermerhorn Jr., Hunt, & Osborn, 2008).
Organizational Behavior
“Organizational behavior is the study of individuals and groups in organizations” (Schermerhorn Jr., Hunt, & Osborn, 2008, p. 5).  Organizational behavior, often called OB for short, is a unique field of scientific methods that develop and test behavior in organizations (Schermerhorn Jr. et al.).  In the field of education, Organizational Behavior is used to evaluate how educators and districts are meeting district and state educational goals.  These educators are committed to working together with a common purpose to educate students of all ages.     
Organizational Culture
“In the internal environment of organizations, the shared beliefs and values that influence the behavior of organizational members create what is called the organizational culture” (Schermerhorn Jr. et al., 2008, p. 11).  Organizational cultures have three alternative types, constructive, passive/defensive and aggressive/defensive cultures.  A constructive culture is based on a constructive workplace.  It focuses on organizational and individual learning.  Passive/defensive cultures have members that are defensive in their workplace whereas aggressive/defensive members tend to be forceful in their interaction ...
