Barnes and Noble SWOT Analysis


Working with a group of peers to accomplish tasks can be either a difficult and agonizing task or a valuable learning experience. Our team was able to find common ground which allowed us to work very well together, whether we were aware of it or not.

Strengths:
    The first strength of our group that really helped us succeed was the diversity of our group. Each member had different ideas that they were able to bring to the group to give us a wide range of opinions and ideas. Khalil, being from Saudi Arabia, brought opinions to our group that were completely different from what we were normally used to which proved to be enlightening to say the least. Our two girls, Briana and Samantha, brought a welcomed female perspective to our group and kept it from being one-dimensional. Josh’s objective way of thinking was a big plus. These differences really helped us evolve during the forming and norming stages of the group development.
    Our second strength of our group that was also vital for us was our leadership. This really showed during the performing stage of our group. The role identity of everyone was strong. The team, as a whole, was eager to take control at any time and step up to make sure that we accomplished everything. Social loafing was never an issue with us. We never had any issues with group members because we all shared the same concern for doing well. Each member was capable of taking on any key role at any time during our time together. This really showed when Khalil couldn’t make it to present the first day. He made sure to get all his information to us so that we could make the necessary adjustments in class ...
