Mc Donald’s, but with Flair
Assuming that almost every one of us has at least once visited the fast food chain restaurants Mc Donald’s, I think I won’t need a thorough introduction about its activities and operations. It is a corporation, which is based on franchising and operating restaurants in the food service industry. Mc Donald’s is operating in more than 100 countries, and serves varied, yet limited, value priced menus.  There was an article that I found in the New York Times “To Woo Europeans, Mc Donald’s Goes Upscale,” which gives us the insights of the lay out change of the European Mc Donald’s restaurants that have become very nice and sophisticated.  With its 20 years, recognizable, plastic yellow-and-white furniture, Mc Donald’s in Europe is transforming into place where people can feel relaxed and can experience a sophisticated atmosphere with a lime-green designer chairs and dark leather upholstery.  However, Mc Donald’s is not only doing cosmetic changes these days. There is a change in the menu with the introduction of healthier food and items that are suitable for the regional tastes. According to the information provided, it looks like that Mc Donald’s Europe has applied a very profitable management strategy, in the countries where people usually eat ‘slow food.’
