Task 1
I have chosen to use Marks & Spencer as my business organisation. Marks & Spencers organises its staff by providing timetables, in these timetables it has information such as when employees start and end their shift, also when their break or lunchtimes are and what days they work, but also the department they will be working in.

With every major business such as Marks & Spencers they have a hierarchy of its employees and their status. They have employees such as managers, supervisors etc, all with a specific role to make the company function to the best of its ability.
Management techniques that Marks and Spencer use a LMS (Learning Management System) to provide training to staff across the business. They use this as it allows HR to keep all individual records in one central location. This information is the used in the performance management technique, Marks and Spencer run management appraisals every 6 months. This information is then put into their PMS (Performance Management System).
Marks & Spencer are well known for their staff training this is because they always make sure that they are trained to the best possible standards. They give small group sessions on how to mange problem that may come up. A lot of Marks and Spencers staff work in all departments so staff training occurs regularly.
