The Singleton Gym and Swim Marketing Plan was prepared to assist the Singleton Gym
& Swim staff, by providing a document that clearly communicates a considered method
of meeting the challenges and opportunities the centre faces. The plan analyses the local
situation, trends in health and fitness, sets objectives and identifies strategies to achieve
the objectives. The plan sets out an action plan which is summarised below:-
• Increase awareness of building work (Gym & GF Studio)
• Increase membership to Gym.
• Promote member retention
• Increase Learn to Swim participation and profit.
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Singleton Gym and Swim Marketing plan was prepared to assist the Singleton Gym
& Swim staff, by providing a document that clearly communicates a considered method
of meeting the challenges and opportunities the centre faces. Identification and analysis
of current market trends and the Gym and Swim’s strengths and weaknesses has resulted
in the development of financial and marketing objectives. Marketing strategies detailed in
this plan are derived to attain the financial and marketing objectives. Controls are set in
place to monitor the plans progress.
The vision of staff and management at the centre has always been to provide a safe and
social environment, whereby members of the Singleton community can attend the centre
and be confident that there are qualified, friendly, staffs available to help them achieve
their goals. Health and fitness programs, personal training, learn to swim, swim squad,
casual swimming all go together to make the Gym and Swim a true community centre.
