Managing Effective Teams

For my team I chose Harvey for the position of assessor and adviser, Amrita for creator, Marcell for controller, Janice for promoter and maintainer and Petra for linker and producer.  I felt that this was a good decision because Harvey was versatile, and a creative individual, Amrita was young with interior/exterior designer experience with no children and willing to travel, Marcell has finance experience meaning he has organizational and management skills, Janice has public relations experience, and Petra has experience working with people and she has leadership experience also.  I had to consider that not all individual work well together and think of all the different skills that all of the candidates had to put my effective team together.  To ensure effective team production, teams need to be created based on the type of organizational output that they are intended to produce.  That is because, different types of work teams need to be created and then managed according to the type of team that is needed. First, they can differ on the type of outcomes they’ve been organized to achieve, such as advisory panels, committees and employee involvement groups are assembled to provide advice and involvement to managers in the organization. Another type of team, the projects and development team is an assembly of professionals who work on assigned or original projects.
