A. Acceptance Theory of Authority-Chester Barnard
   1. defined as managers only have as much authority as   
      employees allow them to have
      a. if the employee thinks that the task that the
         manager is attempting to complete is ridiculous
         then he/she might not accept the authority and
         the task will not get completed
B. ERG Theory-Clayton P. Alderfer
   1. defined as an employee having mulitple needs to
      satisfy simultaneously and by focusing exclusively
      on one need at a time you might not effectively
      motivate the employee
      a. if the all of the needs of an employee are not
         focused on at the same time, then the employee
         will not feel motivated enough to either complete
         a task or continue working at his/her employment
C. Two Factor Theory-Frederick Herzberg
   1. defined as people being influenced by two factors
      hygiene and motivation.
      a. the hygiene factor is needed to ensure that an
         employee does not become dissatisfied with
         working conditios, quality supervision, salary,
