To Whom It May Concern:
With joy and a great deal of enthusiasm, I am writing to support Lynette _______ application to the White House Internship Program. I have known Lynette and her family for well over ten years, as both our families are members of the same congregation. I have observed this young woman develop both academically and personally into a mature individual ready for such an opportunity.
Lynette is bright, energetic, compassionate, and genuinely well-rounded. We have engaged in many a conversation about a variety of subjects. Her level of knowledge and passion about history, current events, culture, among other topics, make for intelligent conversations. One of Lynette’s characteristics is that she is always searching for new knowledge and fresh ideas. This is evident by her decision to further her education by pursuing a joint-degree of a Masters in Management as well as a Masters in Business Administration.
Although Lynette is committed to her academics, she nevertheless takes time to mentor and assist the youth within our fellowship. As a group leader with our church’s youth department, Lynette advises the 9-12 aged children on not only Biblical messages, but also life issues. As still a young person herself, she lends a listening ear and provides valuable advice, while also mirroring those same important values and principles. This is the finer point of Lynette’s character: “practice what you preach” is not a cliché for her. She believes in leading by example.
