Baylor University Study Shows Depressed Housing Market Demands Change in Lead Generation Techniques.
Definition and Purpose
I started out by looking up lead generation. I found a good definition on a marketing concepts and definition page that listed it as, “The process of finding people (consumer or business) with a qualified interest in a certain product or service” (MarketingTerms, 2008.) This helped me out in understanding the article itself and bettering my understanding of the need for this kind of research. Given the fall in the housing market the survey was done within the real estate market and their most successful lead findings.
Explanation
A fall in the housing market gave way to a study done thru Baylor University on real estate sales and increasing ways for agents to change their approach to the housing crunch. With the fall in housing sales who hasn’t felt the pinch in their wallets due to the state of our economy. This study revealed ways for agents to increase their lead potential and give way to a rise in sales.
Data Collection Methods
This research was done by a survey of a large group of real estate professionals from across the country. The survey was conducted online where over 50,000 realtors were emailed a link to the survey with a series of questions that ranged from their budget spending on lead generation to the perceived conditions of the housing market. The findings were anonymous, and after taking out the incomplete surveys there were a total of 1176 usable surveys.
