Problem Solution: Kuiper Leda
The current situation that faces Kuiper Leda is that it has been working with smaller customer base and has a daily capacity of 1250 units of ECUs and 250 of RFIDs. Even though it is smaller than its competitors, the company is known for its quality and delivery responsiveness. What has happened now is that they have received a large order from Midland Motors, which is an American Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The order would facilitate inventory control for Midland Motors. Midland had received a large order for supplying power train assemblies to a leading automobile manufacturer. The order that Midland placed with Kuiper Leda is for 250,000 ECUs and 35,000 RFIDs and this order size will greatly benefit the company; however, it is greater than it is accustom to receiving. The Midland order is urgent so that means that it is a higher volume than Kuiper Leda is used to producing (The Apollo Group, Inc., 2004).
This paper will discuss the issues that Kuiper Leda is currently facing and look at various options that the organization could review in search for ways to better themselves as well as offer better services to their customers.
