R.VAKIL get together to manufacture paint in a garage on FORAS ROAD, BOMBAY. They name their company the ASIAN OIL AND PAINT COMPANY, a name that they pick randomly from a telephone directory. The family-owned company makes the transition to professionally managed organization in 1957.
