Abstract
This research intends to investigate the effect of job security on organizational commitment and job performance in a multinational organization like Cairns Energy in context of Bangladesh. To identify the research questions and to test its hypotheses, a correlational research design will be selected. To obtain the necessary data for this study, the researchers will use questionnaire method. The researchers will collect all primary data through structured questionnaire. The researchers will use the database of Cairn Energy to draw the sample for this study. A total of 150 questionnaires will be distributed to the top and mid level employees of Cairn Energy. The researchers will use stepwise regression for data analysis.
1.0 Introduction
Cairn is an independent Scottish oil and gas exploration and production company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Its core area of focus is South Asia and started its operation in Bangladesh during the year 1996 along with Shell. Cairn concentrates its activities in the South Asian energy markets, where it seeks both to increase the value of its existing businesses and to create new organic growth opportunities. Cairn’s growth strategy is driven by a focus on exploration combined with selective acquisitions and disposals.
