Introduction
The finance and investment industry has constantly put pressure on their firms to produce. They are not only competing for sales and notoriety but they are also competing for the trust of their customers. In recent years, the finance and investment industry has been riddled with catastrophic events such as the September 11th attacks, accounting fraud cases and insider trading. Intersect Investment Services; finance and investment firm has been tremendously affected by these social and political events. In response to these external forces, the firm is taking a new direction of improving their customer relations by implementing a “customer intimacy” campaign. The company hopes that the campaign will not only improve sales but also build trust and credibility among their clients. Frank Jeffers, CEO is the brainchild of this campaign and he hopes to have every employee on board with his vision. However, the company has internal forces to deal with such as employee opposition. Some employees in the company do not believe in this strategy and seem unmotivated about the organization’s culture. Consequently, Janet Angelo has been appointed EVP of Sales and Marketing and her job is to develop a strategy to get the entire company on one accord with the vision of building trust and long-term relationships.
