Internets Effect on Business
The Internet has revolutionized the computer and communications throughout the world like nothing before. It was not until the 1960's when the concept of the internet was created by Joseph Licklider of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Licklider created several memos on what he envisioned as a way for researchers and educators to share information.  Within a few years Licklider and other researchers were hired by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to create what is now known as the internet. In 1991 the world wide web was released to the public and it was not until 1995 that the first web browser was created.  The Internet has changed so much in the two decades since it came into existence and has changed the way the world will do business forever. Society has become so dependent on the internet; we can only imagine what it would be like to not have access. The effect that the internet has had on business has changed social networking, sales, and global economy.
An important effect that the internet has changed is social networking. Social networking has made a significant change on job opportunities that are available throughout the world.  The best way to explain social networking is to meet other people in order to create better working or job opportunities. There are several websites that have been created that focus on different industries within the work force. Websites such as MySpace, LinkedIn, and Facebook has given people the chance to connect with others from around the world.
