Abstract
Friar Tucker International is a hospitality services chain that manages 35 entertainment and cuisine establishments including 15 cuisine establishments, 10 sports entertainment establishments, eight family entertainment establishments, and agreements with two hotel chains. Friar Tucker is seeking to change the random nature of the projects that have been accepted by organizing a Projects Selection Committee to identify the type of projects the company should consider. The Project Selection Committee has been created to better enable the company in choosing projects that align with its strategic objectives. Friar Tucker evaluated five proposals and is recommending the Galleria project for implementation. Friar Tucker faces the risk of not having the expertise in handling such projects like the Galleria and may endure additional costs because they may find they need to outsource some of their operations. Many other risks should be identified including possible risks involving scheduling, the budget, and staffing. The contingency plan for Friar Tucker will analyze the technical risks, schedule risks, cost risks, and funding risks.
