Definition of an Inn:
Inn is defined as a "residential complex" which provides all or substantially all of its accommodation for periods less than 60 days. Most hotels offering accommodation, even a luxurious establishment in London's Park Lane will be classed as Inns.
Requirements:
? An Innkeeper has a right of lien over any property of the guest or traveller, when the latter refuses or can not pay the hotel bill.
? The hotels in England have the right to sell the property of the guest provided that they advertise their intention to sell. It does not need a court authorisation.
Penalties of non-compliance:
? The guest's vehicle or property left in the vehicle can be held by the Innkeeper
? The property that the guest brings with him to the Inn as their luggage, including property that may not belong to him can also be disdained by the Innkeeper.
