INTRODUCTION
The New York Stock Exchange, Inc., being the country’s prestigious establishment responsible for conducting daily stock trading in the United States of America holds almost every private business firms in the country. Stocks listed in the Stock Exchange are classified into five sectors namely: Banks and Financial Services, Commercial and Industrial, Property, Mining and Oil. Companies engaged in banking, investments and finance are under the Banks and Financial Services sector. The Commercial and Industrial Sector includes the holding firms, telecommunications, foods, beverages, and tobaccos, construction, power and energy, transportation services, manufacturing, distribution and trading, hotel, recreation and other services. Companies engaged in the land and property development are classified under Property sector. The Oil includes companies involved in oil exploration, extraction and production also implies in the Philippine stock market.
The researcher is interested in this study for experience to become a financial analyst and in terms of future investing in stocks; furthermore it influences more the researcher to measure the effect of the return in the Stock Exchange market to every movement of the selected indicators that quantifiably exists in the economy. In this manner, it can find means to maintain the competence of the business sector that makes up the economy by stabilizing the performance of the e Stock Exchange, Inc. and also to the Philippine Stock Market.
