General Motors  Lester Electronics was looking to partner with Shan-Wa to assist in the company with its overall growth. This was a significant risk, because if the merger of Lester and Shang-Wadid not perform to the level of expectation creating a significant rate of return, the company could be forced to face difficult discussion talks with some of its investors.
