      Global Communications Benchmarking
      The team researched and analyzed multiple organizations involved in the global economy. The companies include: Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, The Home Depot, Lowe’s Home Improvement, AT&T, Charter Communications, Ford Motor Company, and General Motors. In the scenario involving Global Communications, the virtual organization made important decisions about the survival of the organization as a whole including growth, profits, globalization, and marketing. The style and methods used by the management team at Global Communications offered multiple opportunities for improvement to its customers, shareholders, and employees. Similar to the scenario, organizations must make decisions to help revitalize and maintain a healthy balance of growth and profits in business. The team will compare and contrast the types of communications, emotional intelligence, and concepts used by each of the previously mentioned organizations.
      In the sample companies we chose, the primary forms of (public) communication were annual company reports or media disclosures. For instance, in all of the organizations listed, information was either gathered directly from the company annual reports or through a media source which retrieved the report information via the company.
