Global Communications (GC) was once a distinguished, profitable telecommunications company that in recent years has quickly experienced a decrease in profits, they are in a position to change old business strategies that aren’t working and move on to creative, new ventures that promote growth and opportunity. GC is late in developing a strategy to combat the dwindling profits, saturation and explosive competitiveness of the telecommunications industry, but it can recover if the business tools at its disposal are put to work. Becoming a global entity is going to allow GC to compete more efficiently with its competitors and lower expenses, this will help in producing short term goals of generating revenue. Benchmarking companies, utilizing problem solving strategies and decision making skills will enable GC to realize their future goals.
Communication is central to the development and implementation of strategies. GC needs to address communication within their organization, how information is perceived and distributed throughout the company and to stakeholders is an issue that should not be overlooked. It should be thought out in the decision making process, not after a strategy is set in motion, reacting to problems doesn’t allow time to make the best decisions. The Union is an integral part of the company and should be considered and communicated to when and where it concerns their welfare.
