Eid Prayer
On December 8th I went to Eid prayer. Eid prayer is a prayer that happens twice a year during that time Muslims all around the world go out to pray in the morning. This is celebration to the Muslims. We go out to the community mosque before the celebration starts as a Muslim person you have to take a shower from head to toe where new cloths its to make sure to be as pure as you can. The thing is since there is two Eid prayers each one has a different morning routine. The Eid prayer After Ramadan which is named Eid Al- Firt is the Eid where you can eat before prayer which makes sense because we have fasted for thirty days prior to Eid. During Al-Firt we eat in the morning and during Eid Al-Adha we don’t eat in the morning. The prayer begin when the sheik that is going to lead the prayer say “ Allah Akbar”. A phrase in Arabic that mean God is Great. He repeats the phrase seven times and continues to go on with the prayer. Eid prayer must not be confused for the other five daily prayers that is why you are suppose to pray your morning prayer before coming to Eid prayer. An Eid prayer has two rakats, which means two sets of prayer. When we are done praying the sheik says a Khutbah. Which is a religious scripture. It’s to make your faith stronger it’s a hadith to praise god.
As a Muslims Eid is my favorite time of the year because it’s a time to celebrate a religious meaning. You spend time with your family we also gets money from older relative. Its like how in Christmas you gets presents in eid we get money....
