Existence of God
I believe that God can only exist if he is no more than two of the three main attributes: God is omnipotent, omni-benevolent, and omniscient. If he was all three of these they would contradict each other and cancel him out of existence. Some arguments for this are the problem of evil, the problem of free will, the problem of the future, and the problem of the stone. With these arguments I will show that it would not be possible for God to exist if he was omnipotent, omniscient, and omni-benevolent.
If you believe that the Bible is a credible source, it says that God is all good and all powerful. So does God have the power to control us, because it is said that he is all-powerful? Free will is the ability to think and do what we want independently. Do we have free will or is he controlling our thoughts and actions. But there is no proof of him ever controlling us, and he could not be controlling us or he would be controlling all the evil that takes place in our world. So he has created something he cannot control even though he is said to be all-powerful.
If God is omni-benevolent then he clearly could not be evil. Its also true that evil exists in the world today in many forms. If God is all-good and all-powerful then why would he let evil exist in the world. Why would a being that is all-good want to see people suffer when he has the power to rid the world of evil? If God were really all-good and all-powerful he would
use this power to eliminate evil in the world so everyone could have the ability to be happy. Also it is stated in the Bible that God created both good and evil. This alone would prove to any Bible believer that he is not all-good or he would not have created ...
