Abstract
What is the best way for the Boeing/NASA International Space Station Software Tool Team to remain as the most important role of the HSI so that the team continues to produce the tools for the International Space Station in the next decade? The complete environmental scan and economics analysis describe the forces and trends of economic and non-economic factors, assess the operating environments, create a set of long-term objectives, and align the vision and values of the HSI organization. The findings suggest that by defining effective strategic long-term objectives, good leadership, and stakeholder alignment would realize the End-State Goals. Based on the process conducted, it is recommended that identifying the long-term goals, evaluating the results and performance, continuing quality improvement, mitigating the risks, and optimizing the SMART decisions the team can retain the current role for the next 10-15 years.
Environmental Analysis: Boeing/NASA International Space Station Software Tool Team
The purpose of this paper is to complete an environmental scan and economics analysis on the Boeing/NASA International Space Station Tool development of the Hardware-Software Integration (HSI) team. The focus will be based on the readings of Week Three to perform an environmental analysis, assess the operating environments, create a set of long-term objectives, and align the vision and values of the HSI organization to meet the long-term End-State Goals in the next 10-15 years.
