Introduction
Corporate America is characterized by many variables which include competition, complexity, and change.  Organizations must develop the ability to continuously change the appearance of their environment.  Today’s marketplace requires companies to strategically adapt to forces and trends which are impacting various industries.  Although trends and forces are identified, it is always in the company’s best interest to refine or revisit what was initially identified.  This paper will look at the remote, industry, and operating environments to find strategic options for the future.
Relevant Forces and Trends
As it relates to PLL; there were some changes that needed to take place regarding the social factors that would accommodate the company to achieve their end state goals.  Although various subcategories within the remote environment exist, social factors are the ones that deal with beliefs, values, attitudes, opinions, and lifestyles.  Our number one priority is pleasing the customer therefore the company must do everything in their power to be certain that this happens.  In order to understand the customer PLL has to know their requirements and respond accordingly.  Consumer buying patterns are determined by trends, just as clothes are determined by fashion, food is determined by consumer eating patterns and eating habits are continuously changing.  One way that PLL will respond to the requirements of their customer is to improve the quality of service.  PLL is known for superb customer service therefore it is very important to be able to access their customer data quickly.  PLL is evaluating scre ...
