Part 1: The Persistence of Time
The Persistence of Time depicts the decaying of time through the melting clocks. This picture is neat and simple and the melting clocks are the most prominent objects, perhaps the theme of the whole painting. I’ll take a closer look on each of the objects in the picture and dicuss in details. There are interesting stories at the start of every chapters for readers to to think about and relate it to knowledge sharing and collective learning.
Part 2: Tuna Fishing
Tuna Fishing apparently has the most chaotic scene of the three paintings. No doubt Salvador Dali called it “the most ambitious picture I have ever painted.” The violence of men hunting tuna is illustrated. I will discuss the fishermen working in teams or indivudually, the rewards and how this relate to motivate or hinders knowledge sharing and collective learning will be discussed.
Part 3: Still Life Moving Fast
Still Life Moving Fast depicts a dining table in an unconventional way. The objects are floating and ‘flying’ which is impossible in reality. People will relate the dining table to workers having a meal together and thus, sharing of knowledge is able to take place. I do not wish to discuss this point as it is too mundane and not creative enough. Instead, I will discuss objects in the picture in a more unique and innovative way with short stories for reader to infer the morals of the stories and link them with the sharing of knowledge and collective learning.
