(MKT 401) Emaar {draw:a} Abstract on UAE United Arab Emirates (UAE) was formed in 1971 with the six states of Abu Dhabi, Al Fujayrah, Ajman, Sharjah, Umm al Quwayn, and Dubai united under one solid country. Within the past 30 years UAE has gone through a great deal of development that now the UAE is on the same level with most of the leading Western European Nations. One of the major factors that contributed to UAE’s success is the extensive amounts of oil reserves that the country has. Not only did the country’s oil bring extensive revenues but it also allowed UAE to participate and influence other neighboring country’s affairs. UAE is a relatively small country in comparison to its neighboring countries of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iran. UAE is located ina certain way that it views both the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and borders with Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Like most of the Middle East UAE climate is basically a hot desert wasteland with mountains on its eastern side. Because of UAE’s strategic location it is considered by most traffickers as a paradise where its prime location to buy and supply the Southwestern Asia countries with human, drugs, money laundering, and other illegal activities. However, because UAE has a strong economical and political system that they have managed to control the situation by cutting down the traffickers and weeding them out. One of UAE’s major advantages is that it has an open economy that has a high income per capita with an extensive trade surplus. However, most of the success of this economic situation is due to the 40% GDP that comes directly from oil and gas outputs.
