Ecumenism Catholic Faith with other Religions

During the protestant reformation, many questioned the Catholic Church.  The people at that time disliked the sale of indulgences.  Because of this, Martin Luther, John Calvin and King Henry VIII all broke away from the ruling authority under the Pope of Rome to form a new faith with their own interpretations of the Bible.  Today we deal with no union in the Body of Christ.  Jesus asked the twelve disciples to build a church from him, a single church with St. Peter as the head.  We will see how these faiths broke away, and what the church is doing now to bring everyone back together in unity.
    What the protestant leaders need to realize that the Bible was printed by the Catholic Church.  It is the Catholic Church that put together the Bible through the intercession of the Holy Spirit.  It is the Bible and church magistirum which is proper to what to believe.  Martin Luther saw the bible and disregarded church magistirum.  He wanted to interpret the Bible for himself.  Ultimately,  the Duke of Saxony at that time loved what Luther was doing because he realized all of the church funding and beliefs would be then turned over to the state and not the Holy Father in Rome.  Martin Luther then broke away and formed his National Church of Germany which is known today as the Lutheran Church.  Luther questioned the church in his Ninety-Five thesis.  With the birth of the printing press at that time, everyone read it and started to question the authority in Rome.  Pope Leo X really wanted Martin Luther to retract what he was saying, however the Duke of Saxony really wanted State control of the church.  The Duke of Saxony funded Luther to continue with his teachings.  Unfortuna ...
