Diversity Case

MGI Team, which consists of seven people with different nationalities and expertise, came together to produce a business plan for the MGI’s music game for the young children. However, this diversity and lack of organization created conflicts among the team players and wasted time without any process. There are only three weeks to prepare Harvard Business School annual business plan. If they want to win the contest and take $60,000, which will help to establish the project, they should come over the conflicts and work as a team.

Analysis
    Since the first meeting, the biggest problem of the team is that they are missing a code of conduct which defines the responsibility of each member and shows the vision and goal of the team. Sasha has brought two other people to the team without consulting the others. After the first meeting each team member should have prepared his own strengths and weaknesses so that they could have decided that for which position they needed help instead of bringing some random help.
Henry and Sasha have to work together as co-CEOs. Each has different manager skills and if they can manage to work together, they can make the project progress. Henry is a hard worker; he always comes to the each meeting well prepared and prepares slide shows, showing what to focus on. He inspires the team. He creates smart solution for the problems. For instance, he and Dana meet before the team meetings to decide their strategy against Sasha.
