Decision Making Model
Decisions basically boil down to choosing what is in the best interest of all parties involved.  From the time a person is born until the time they die they will have to make many decisions.  Regardless of one's age decisions are made on a daily basis.  In order for one to make sound decisions in life it is important as well as necessary to gather enough information to evaluate one's options or choices.  In decision-making one can build confidence from having made successful decisions in the past.  Support and influence from family and friends can have a major impact on decisions one will make throughout his/her lifetime.
According to Wikipedia decision-making is the cognitive process leading to the selection a course of action among alternatives. Every decision-making process produces a final choice called decision. It can be an action or an opinion. It begins when we need to do something but we do not know what. Therefore, decision-making is a reasoning process, which can be rational or irrational, and can be based on explicit assumptions or tacit assumptions.
Many people find decision-making difficult because they believe they will have to sacrifice many appealing options.  Choosing a career is one of the biggest decisions one is faced with.  For most young adults today unless they have a trade they must know what they want to do for a living before they enter college.  Not only does a typi ...
