The questions are:  1) Which is/are the key issue or issues?    Daimler-Benz merging along with Chrysler Corporation in order to extend its global reach, and gaining market in the worldwide car industry.       The evolution of the Board of management, and supervisory boards, and how to deal with its issues, How to combine 2 different legal systems in such a way as to meet the differing expectations of each companies shareholders and management?.      2) Construct a SWOT (give at least 5 items for each one)  Strengths:    Geographical expansion (37% stakes in Mitsubishi Motors, 10% Hyundai Motors).       Capital spending reduced in 30% percent, which brought adding new car models.       Smart, open, and experienced leaders.       Merged the “Anglo-Saxon corporate governance” and the “co-determination” preferred by most german companies.       This merging took corporate governance rules to another level between to successful companies.      Weaknesses:    Chrysler couldn’t handle the American market growth.       Shutting assembly plants resulted in huge operating losses.       Members were leaving the board, going from a total of 17 members to 11.       The base of American shareholders were decreasing.       Trying to adhere to different codes caused regulatory conflicts.      Opportunities:    Acquired 43% share in Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus corporation, ins ...
