Critical Thinking is used by various individuals for various reasons; the following paper describes situations when critical thinking was used to make difficult decisions that have impacted more than one person. Critical thinking is necessary for business situations as well as personal situations. How has Critical Thinking affected your life?

Critical Thinking

As the business world changes and become more complex so does the need for critical thinkers. Critical thinking is a requirement for various jobs in the workforce, especially management. What is Critical Thinking? According to Webster’s (2008), Critical thinking is a mental process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating information to reach an intelligent conclusion. Decision Making
Decision making is a function of critical thinking that involves making a decision based on the information collected and analyzed. The decision making process is a function of critical thinking because decision making process is frequently stressful; anyone who has ever endured making a critical decision will mention sleepless nights, irritability and anxiety (Halpern, 2003). Decision making is utilized frequently when the situation dictates that the decision maker must choose the best alternative out of several scenarios that could occur from the decision being made.
