Critical Thikning Paper

Introduction
     Upon completion of the thinking critically simulation, I will describe in detail the decision-making tools I applied to help make decisions, describe the critical-thinking components that affected my decision, list four key points from the assignment, and then summarize the results of the assessment.  This simulation was very helpful to me in understanding the tools that are available and the importance of using them correctly.

     The simulation centers around my being the general manager of an electronics store through giant Credenhill Industries, faced with falling sales, threat of legal action from the city regarding disability access laws and unhappy employees.  Profits are expected and it is my duty to correct the situations so that money will be made while minimizing losses.  To understand the issues at heart, I would subject myself to finding out more about the retail world.  Gathering information from those in management at retail outlets will arm me with inherent knowledge before work begins.  Credenhill’s details of the store’s operations with inputs from the CEO will lay the groundwork from which I am to begin.  Listing the issues at hand and organizing them into groups of what is considered critical-urgent, critical non-urgent and then non-critical urgent and non-critical, non-urgent will help me in understanding what must be done to create profits.  Upon finishing the list, I now can determine what steps are urgent, critical issues first and work from that starting point on down to non-urgent, non-critical matters.  Product mix, variable pay for employees and a new store from a competitor that opened up are part of the critical-urgent matters facing ...
