Introduction
The management of Motivation, Inc. hired the Motivators Consulting Group (Motivators) to assess the current state of employee morale, and offer a recommendation for creating an “organizational culture in which participants are excited about coming to work, delivering excellent job performance, and maintaining the highest levels of individual, managerial and overall organizational performance”. Based on our research and interviews with current and former staff of Motivation, Inc. the Motivators has reached the conclusion that morale has declined significantly over the past five years, with high employee turnover which has impacted both corporate culture and profits negatively.
The task of the Motivators is to make recommendations for the creation of an exciting environment at Motivators, Inc that will make employees feel excited about coming to work. Although it is impossible to motivate others directly, it is nonetheless important to know how to influence what others are motivated to do, with the objective of having employees identify their welfare with that of the company (Milne, 2007).
The Motivators Team therefore makes the following recommendations;
Creating Positive Culture in Organizations
Organizational culture is a result of the values, beliefs, underlying assumptions, attitudes, and behaviors shared by the employees. The company culture can be seen in the language, symbols, stories, legends, and daily work practice.
History is important to people, giving them a sense of identity and belonging. Just look at how genealogy becomes more important to people as they grow older.
